GRGS Competitive

A golf club without a golf course.

GRGS Competitive is a season long, handicapped competition for golfers who live and play in West Michigan. You keep playing your normal golf. We give it a season, a standing, and something to chase.

How It Works

Play your golf. Let the season keep score.

Your course is West Michigan

There is no clubhouse to join and no single home track. The region is the golf course, from the dunes on the lakeshore to the inland designs around Grand Rapids.

Normal golf, normal schedules

You play the rounds you were already going to play, with the group you already play with, on the days that work for you.

Selected declared rounds

A season is built from a set number of declared rounds. You choose which ones count, declare before you play, and post the score.

Handicapped competition

Every score is adjusted, so a mid handicap golfer and a scratch player compete on the same terms all season.

The Board

One season long standing that shows where you sit in the field, how you moved, and how many rounds you have left to make count.

Blind Matches and the Club Championship

Head to head matchups against another member during the season, and a Club Championship to finish it.

The Season

Built for golfers with jobs, families, and a standing weekend game.

  • Declare a round before you tee off, play it under normal conditions, and post the score.
  • Only your declared rounds count toward the season, so one bad Saturday is not the end of it.
  • Standings, movement, and Blind Match results follow you through the summer on The Board.
  • Prizes and giveaways through the season, and a Club Championship to close it out.

Join

Membership opens by invitation and interest list.

GRGS Competitive is still being built with its founding group of West Michigan golfers. Tell us you want in and we will reach out with season details as they are set.
